Former USC quarterback Max Browne has found his new home.
On Thursday evening, Browne took to Twitter to announce he will be finishing out his collegiate career as a graduate transfer for the Pitt football program in 2017.
Browne, who entered the season as USC’s starter before being replaced in Week 4, made his decision after visiting Pitt over the weekend.
Browne finished 2016 with 507 yards passing and two touchdowns.
With Pitt losing quarterback Nathan Peterman after the season and a new offensive coordinator coming in to replace Matt Canada, who took the job at LSU, Browne will have a great opportunity to earn the starting job in 2017.
Browne will compete with sophomore Bo Schneider, redshirt freshman Ben DiNucci and true freshman Thomas MacVittie for the No. 1 job.
