UNC basketball: Joel Berry expected to return vs. Kentucky

The UNC basketball team got some good news ahead of Saturday’s huge matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats in the CBS Classic in Las Vegas.

According to the team’s official Twitter account, guard Joel Berry practiced on Friday and is set to return from injury for the important non-conference clash on Saturday evening.

Berry had missed the last two games with an ankle injury, and it clearly showed on the court for the Tar Heels offense.

In nine games this season, Berry is averaging 14.8 points and 4.7 assists, while shooting an impressive 41.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Berry’s presence on the court will be crucial against a very talented Kentucky squad.

Tip-off between the Wildcats and Tar Heels at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas is set for 5:45 p.m. ET on CBS.
