Michigan football: 4-star C Cesar Ruiz commits to Wolverines

These commitment videos are getting more and more creative. Today, Cesar Ruiz, the No. 69 ranked prospect in the country, tweeted out his commitment to Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines.

But for Ruiz, who apparently has a flair for the dramatic, releasing a statement wasn’t good enough.

Instead he decided to make this video to announce his intent:

With his list of serious contenders down to three teams, Ruiz decided that Michigan was the best fit for him.

Playing out of the football prospect machine, the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Ruiz is the top ranked center in the class of 2017. Weighing in at 321 pounds and standing 6 feet, 3 inches tall, Ruiz is still able to run his 40-time in 5.26 seconds. It is no surprise he had offers from schools such as Alabama, Miami and Clemson, among many others.

Michigan continues to put together its best draft class in some time. With Harbaugh behind the wheel of the program, the school is seeing top-tier talent flock to the school, and is setting itself up nicely to become the next powerhouse college football program. Of their 21 current recruits, 12 of them are ranked on the ESPN top 300 list.
