Grayson Allen trip: Jay Williams says ACC should suspend Duke G

Grayson Allen has developed a reputation for breaking the rules in a major way. During tonight’s game against Elon, he was assessed a technical foul for blatantly kicking and tripping a player from the opposing team.

Allen extended his leg from his body in a very deliberate way causing the player to trip, and when he was caught, threw a temper tantrum on the sideline.

Former Duke Star and ESPN College Basketball analyst Jay Williams has seen enough.

Allen is a multiple time offender of this type of thing, and is widely disliked as a result of it. Whether the NCAA or ACC decides to take action will remain to be seen.

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski could also decide to suspend Allen himself, but that would be relatively unprecedented, as he has not done that on occasions like these in the past.

Allen’s dangerous antics are obviously something no coach wants in the game. Nobody can question whether he is a competitor; it simply manifests itself in terrible ways.
