After a day off for Christmas, the 2016 college football schedule is back in our lives with a triple-header starting early Monday afternoon with the St. Petersburg Bowl between the Miami (OH) Redhawks and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
This will be a big test for the RedHawks, who rallied in the second half of the season after starting 0-6 to become bowl eligible. There reward is taking on a team from the SEC.
While Mississippi State isn’t the most fierce of SEC foes, they will look to gather some momentum heading into 2017 with a big win.
The Bulldogs are nearly two-touchdown favorites coming into the game and while they likely won’t cover the spread, they should still do enough to come away with the win and end on the season on a high note.
