The Mississippi State Bulldogs hung on to defeat Miami (OH) in the St. Petersburg Bowl on Monday afternoon despite a late scare. Trailing the Bulldogs 17-16, the RedHawks lined up for a 37-yard-field for the win.

With the win, the Bulldogs finish the season 6-7. Miami (OH) finishes its 2016 campaign with an identical record.
