Northwestern’s Pat Fitzgerald savagely trolls Danny Kanell after Pinstripe Bowl

On Wednesday evening, Northwestern capped off an up-and-down 2016 campaign with a win over Pitt in the Pinstripe Bowl.

The Wildcats entered the game as underdogs, but were able to come out on top in a turnover filled game. One man who was well aware of the lack of respect Northwestern was receiving coming into the bowl game was head coach Pat Fitzgerald.

Following the game, Fitzgerald wasted no time calling out one doubter in particular, ESPN’s Danny Kanell.

Kanell put 40 confidence points on Pitt beating Northwestern for his Bowl Mania picks, so Fitzgerald savagely trolled the ESPN analyst while he was on the field celebrating.

“I just want to know what Danny Kanell is wearing today, because his 40 confidence points are down, Danny!” Fitzgerald said. “Enjoy your 40 confidence points! Appreciate the motivation!”

To Kanell’s credit. he took Fitzgerald’s troll job in stride and even congratulated Northwestern on their big win.

Congratulations to the Wildcats on their big win. And way to take the shot on the chin, Danny.
