The Ohio State Marching Band may just have the best damn trumpet-playing kicker in the land.
On Tuesday night, the band’s Twitter account shared a video of second-year trumpet player Austin Brizee lining up at the Buckeyes’ practice facility and drilling an impressive 55-yard field goal with some room to spare.
The video was accompanied with a message in good humor that asked Urban Meyer if needed a kicker for Saturday.
The Buckeyes currently have senior Tyler Durbin and junior Sean Nuernberger on the roster, but Brizee proved he could be a viable option in emergency situations down the line.

The kick was so impressive that Assistant Director of Player Personnel Eron Hodges actually responded to the video and invited the trumpet-playing kicker for a tryout with the team.
not for Saturday but he definitely has a tryout invitation. Have him contact me

For the love of all that is holy, please let this happen.
Austin Brizee would immediately become America’s favorite place kicker.
