Take care of business.
Before he was a fan favorite selling more jerseys then anyone and likely winning rookie of the year, Ezekiel Elliot was a National Championship winner at the Ohio State University.
With the Buckeyes likely to have their hands full against an equally talented Clemson Tigers team today, Elliot’s message to his alma mater was simple:
The Buckeyes won the inaugural College Football Playoff in 2015 by defeating the Oregon Ducks, 42-20.
Under head coach Urban Meyer, the Buckeyes have seen a resurgence to the top of the college football powerhouse programs. They weren’t a lock to make the playoffs after losing to Penn State earlier in the season and failing to win their conference as a result.
However, a nail-bitting victory over Michigan in their final regular season game appears to have been the game that tipped the College Football Playoff nod in their favor.
Ohio State and Clemson kickoff tonight at 8 p.m. ET.
