In the final game of Monday’s loaded college football bowl schedule, the No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners and No. 17 Auburn Tigers square off in the Sugar Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in New Orleans.
Auburn struggled out of the gate this season, dropping two of its first three games to Clemson and Texas A&M. After a strong run in the middle of their 2016 campaign, the Tigers once again stumbled down the stretch, losing two of three to Georgia and Alabama.
Against Oklahoma, the Tigers will have the opportunity to get the sour taste of defeat out of their mouths entering the offseason.
Oklahoma, on the other hand, finished off the year with nine straight wins after a 1-2 start of their own to 2016.
The Sooners bring one of the top offenses in college football to the Sugar Bowl, thanks to Heisman Trophy finalists Baker Mayfield and Dede Westbrook. Will the Sooners be able to fly high to end the season?
