Michigan QB John O’Korn: Wolverines are ‘pissed for 2017’

-

Michigan, whose season began with them looking like one of the elite teams in the FBS, ended its season with a dramatic loss to Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

John Harbaugh and his Wolverines are expected to be better next year, and they might be playing with a bit of an edge now. Already a program with a number of playmakers and one of the top recruiting classes to this loin on the trail, Michigan looks to be dangerous in the 2017 season.

John O’Korn, Michigan quarterback, verbalized such sentiments on Twitter earlier today.

Cool, they’re pissed. But…weren’t you pissed after you lost to Iowa? Weren’t you pissed when you lost to Ohio State and cost yourself a College Football Playoff bid? Shouldn’t you have already been pissed heading into your bowl game?

If we are expected to believe that the players will be pissed over a loss that happened a year prior to the opening week kickoff in Week 1 of 2017, that seems far fetched. Why would they be able to do something after a year that they couldn’t accomplish over the course of one season?

Michigan will be a very good team and a tough game for whoever they play, but I imagine it will have very little to do with them being “pissed.”

An empty statement by an upset player who is watching other teams advance through the College Football Playoffs.
