The Duke basketball team has won its first game in the absence of head coach Mike Krzyzewski, who has been forced to take time off following back surgery.
Under interim coach Jeff Capel, the Blue Devils jumped out to a double-digit lead over Boston College and held on for the 93-82 win.
Freshman Jayson Tatum led Duke in scoring with 22 points, as one of six players to reach double-digits on the afternoon. Fellow freshman Frank Jackson recorded 15 points, Harry Giles added 12, and Grayson Allen added 12 points and 11 assists. Amile Jefferson notched 11 points and Matt Jones finished with 10.

Duke is now off until Tuesday, Jan. 10 when they travel to Tallahassee to take on the Florida State. Tip-off between the Blue Devils and Seminoles is set for 8 p.m. ET.
