Michigan’s Jake Butt says ‘surgery went very well’

Michigan star tight end Jake Butt suffered a torn ACL in the Wolverines’ loss to Florida State.

On Tuesday night, Butt took to social media to provide an update on his status, saying that his “surgery went very well.”

The John Mackey Award winner tweeted out the following:

Prior to his injury, Butt was considered by many as a potential first-round pick. However, because of the torn ACL and the recovery time it will require, Butt is now projected as a mid-round selection.

Butt finishes his Michigan career with 138 catches for 1,646 yards and 11 touchdowns.
