Report: Charissa Thompson being considered as ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown host

FOX Sports 1’s Charissa Thompson is reportedly a candidate to replace Chris Berman as the host of ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, according to a report from Michael McCarthy of Sporting News.
Thompson, who currently hosts the “Fox NFL Kickoff” pregame show, previously worked for ESPN from 2011-13. She is also  co-host of “Extra,” with Mario Lopez and Tracey Edmonds.
ESPN anchors Trey Wingo and Suzy Kolber were previously viewed as the front-runners to replace Berman.
“Everything is up for grabs right now,” one source told Sporting News. “They’re looking at everything and questioning everyone and everything.”
In recent months, FOX Sports has been hiring talent away from ESPN, most notably Skip Bayless, Colin Cowherd and Jason Whitlock, so if Thompson is hired away from FOX Sports, it would be a major addition to the ESPN team.
Do you think Thompson would be a good fit hosting ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments section below.
