Randy Edsall continues to put together the coaching staff he hopes will lead his new team to victory.
Today, the team added the man they think can shape the Huskies defensive footballers int a snarling and suffocating unit; Billy Crocker has been hired as defensive coordinator.
Crocker comes as the latest hiring in sweeping changes that have come to the Huskies football teams this offseason.

Edsall, who coached the team for 12 years until 2010 when he left to coach the Maryland Terrapins. He decided to come back to the team this season and has already made several key hires necessary to field a winning team.
While Crocker will be taking over the play calling on the defensive side of the ball, former defensive coordinator Jon Wholley will take over duties as linebackers coach. Something of a demotion, it is unusual that this kind of agreement be reached when a new coach takes over a team.
Wholley will now report to someone who holds the job that was his for three full seasons.
