Cincinnati football names Mike Denbrock offensive coordinator

The Cincinnati football program has its next offensive coordinator.
On Tuesday, new Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell announced former Notre Dame assistant Mike Denbrock is set to fill the role of offensive coordinator on his staff. Denbrock will also serve as the team’s quarterbacks coach.
Denbrock previously spent seven seasons under Brian Kelly on the Fighting Irish staff, holding the roles of tight ends coach, wide receivers coach and offensive coordinator.
“Mike is a proven offensive leader,” Fickell said in a statement announcing the news.
“I’m excited for him to get started on the recruiting trail and work with our team heading into the spring and our journey into the future. He’s another in the mold of great coaches and family men that we’ve attracted to our staff here. It’s exciting what we are building with a quality staff of teachers and coaches to lead our players.”
Denbrock also previously coached at Indiana State, Washington, Stanford, Grand Valley State, Illinois State and Michigan State, among others.
