MAAC suspends both players involved in Rider-Siena fight

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has acted swiftly and with exacting deftness regarding the discipline of Anthony Durham and Marquis Wright. The two players were involved in a fist fight during the Rider-Siena basketball game on Tuesday night.
The two coaches are awaiting their reprimand for unsportsmanlike behavior.
Both players have been handed one game suspension following the incident that occurred late in the game. On an attempted alley-oop by Riders Norville Carey was fouled hard. This caused Durham and Wright to scuffle and at one point closed fist punches were thrown.
Both players were assessed flagrant-2 fouls and ejected from the game. A number of players and coaches were then assessed technical fouls.
After the game, coach Kevin Baggett advised his players not to take place in the post-game handshake. Coach Jimmy Pastos and his squad still participated, which caused a humorous scene in which the players and coach were shaking non-existent players.
