No. 1 Villanova, No. 2 Kansas both suffer losses

Tuesday was a rough day to be one of the top-ranked teams in college basketball.
First, the No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks were blown out in Morgantown, falling to the West Virginia Mountaineers by a score of 85-69.
It was the fourth year in a row that Kansas suffered a loss to the Mountaineers.

If that wasn’t enough of a shocker in the college basketball world, the No. 1 Villanova Wildcats, which are the defending national champions, also suffered a loss at the hands of Marquette.
The only good news for Villanova is that they kept their game closer than the Jayhawks were able to do.

It’s a good day to be No. 3 Gonzaga.
