Mike Krzyzewski kicks Duke basketball players out of locker room

Mike Krzyzewski took some extreme measures to refocus the Duke basketball team.
After the team suffered their third loss in four games, Coach K reportedly punished his team by temporarily banning them from their own locker room.
Not only did Krzyzewski not allow his players to enter their locker room, he banned them from wearing Blue Devils gear.
ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported the story.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, on the mend after back surgery, held a meeting at his house Tuesday night in which he informed players that they were temporarily kicked out of the locker room and also forbidden from wearing Blue Devils apparel, sources told ESPN.
Sources told ESPN that Krzyzewski has employed this tactic multiple times in the past.
“He wasn’t happy,” said one source close to the situation. “Especially after the loss to N.C. State.”

It’s clear Coach K is sending the message that it is an honor and privilege to wear the Duke uniform.
We will see if his players understood the message when they return to the court on Saturday against Wake Forest. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. ET at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
