After reaching its first bowl game in two years, the Vanderbilt football program is reportedly ready to reward its head coach.
According to a report from Adam Sparks of The Tennessean, Vanderbilt and head coach Derek Mason are reportedly working on a contract extension.
Mason is just 13-24 during his time leading the Commodores.
While the lackluster record leaves a lot to be desired, Mason was able to secure big wins over Georgia, Ole Miss, and Tennessee during the 2016 college football season.
Since taking over Vanderbilt in 2014, Mason has gone 3-9, 4-8 and 6-7.
