The college basketball season is in full swing and is closing in on its most exciting part of the year. On monday, the Associated Press released its latest AP Top 25 poll.
After three top five teams lost last week — Villanova, Kansas and Kentucky, which were ranked 1, 2 and 4, respectively — there were plenty of shakeups at the top of the rankings.
The new No. 1 team in the nation is now Gonzaga, receiving 46 first-place votes. It is just the second time in school history that the Bulldogs are the nation’s top team.
Baylor, meanwhile, jumped to No. 2.
Villanova and Kansas remained in the top five, while Kentucky slipped to No. 8.
