Ex-Syracuse DB Corey Winfield Transfers To West Virginia

Former Syracuse defensive back Corey Winfield has found his new home.
Winfield took to social media late Friday night to announce he will be finishing his college football career with the West Virginia Mountaineers.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder announced the news with a brief statement on Instagram.
Winfield wrote:

I am pleased to announce that I am officially a West Virginia Mountaineer! I would like to thank Coach Holgorsen and the entire coaching staff for welcoming me to the Mountaineer family. I am so proud to be a member of WVU Football and looking forward to a winning season! #HailWV

Last season, Winfield finished the year with 41 tackles, one sack, one interception and five passes defensed.
Because Winfield is making the move as a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to take the field immediately.
