UConn Women's Basketball Team Wins 100th Straight Game

The UConn women’s basketball team’s dominance has reached new heights.
With a win over South Carolina on Monday night, Geno Auriemma and his Huskies pulled off their 100th straight win. That’s right, UConn has won 100 consecutive games with their last loss coming in November of 2014.
Plenty of former UConn stars were in attendance for the historic game including Maya Moore and Breanna Stewart.
Perhaps the most surprising statistic regarding the Huskies’ 100-game run is that only two games have been closer than ten points. More than half of those victories (56, to be exact) have been by at least 40 points, according to the NCAA.

The current streak tops anything done by John Wooden and his legendary UCLA teams, but there is one streak left for the UConn women to top.
Back in the 1950’s, Wayland Baptist University hauled off 131 wins. Can the Huskies hit that mark? There’s no reason to doubt them now.
