Kurt Warner’s Son To Play At Nebraska As Walk-On

Kade Warner is set to join the Nebraska football program as a walk-on.

Warner is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner and chose to join the Cornhuskers after receiving just one scholarship offer to play college football. That offer came from FCS school San Diego.

“I would like to thank my family, coaches and teammates for getting me to this point in my life,” Warner wrote on social media. “Also, I want to thank all the schools that recruited me for giving me an opportunity and believing in me as a player and a football player

“Thank you Coach Riley and the Nebraska football staff for giving me the opportunity to pursue an academic and collegiate football career at the University of Nebraska. I look forward to this chapter in my life and joining Big Red Nation.”

Words cannot describe the feeling. Thank you to everyone who believed in me. God is Great! #GBR pic.twitter.com/BdPovHOJ2f
