Watch The Exact Moment DeMarcus Cousins Learned He'd Been Traded

Late Sunday night, DeMarcus Cousins was traded by the Sacramento Kings to the New Orleans Pelicans where he will join Anthony Davis to form the best frontcourt in the NBA.
The trade happened following the 2017 NBA All-Star Game which was taking place in, coincidentally enough, New Orleans.
Cousins was shipped to the Pelicans in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a future first-round pick and a second-round pick.
Perhaps the wildest part of the story is that it appears Cousins learned of the trade while he was speaking to the media.
In a video that surfaced on social media, a man can be seen whispering in Cousins’ ear. Cousins responds with, “Oh, really?” before going on to add, “It’s whatever.”
Then, Cousins answers a question about his all-star experience where he took the opportunity to say he was enjoying his time in the city and that he really loved New Orleans. Cousins capped off his answer with a little grin, indicating he knew he wasn’t going anywhere.

New Orleans, currently two games out of the Western Conference’s No. 8 seed, returns to action on Feb. 23 against the Houston Rockets. It’s going to be fun to see what heights Cousins and Davis can take the franchise to.
