The shot clock at the Tucker Center is on the fritz. In Monday’s evening ACC matchup between Boston College and Florida State, the tip-off was delayed due to a malfunctioning shot clock.

Tip off was delayed about ten minutes before they were able to get things going. The student section put in their bid to count in unison while they got the shot clock sorted. The officials weren’t into it, though.

They’re counting too slow.
After another delay, it appears everything is in working order and the game is running smoothly. If the shot clock delays again, they might have to go with an alternative for the rest of the game. Typically, this will be a monitor from the scorers table that counts down while facing the court. The players don’t get a chance to look at it as easily, and as a result adds a new wrinkle of complexity to running the offense.
Florida State lead at the half 55-31 over the Eagles.
