In the latest incident of Jameis Winston inserting his foot directly into his mouth, we get some idiotic comments that came during a recent visit to Melrose Elementary in Tampa, Fla. on Wednesday.
Winston made comments while speaking to the classroom that have led to plenty of criticism.
While he was attempting to address the young boys in the classroom, Winston directed them all to stand up. He preached that men are supposed to be strong, but that’s not what raised eyebrows. It was when he told the girls in the room to sit down, before saying they are expected to be “silent and gentle.”
Here are his full comments from the poorly thought out motivational speech:

“All my young boys, stand up. The ladies, sit down.
But all my boys, stand up. We strong, right? We strong! We strong, right? All my boys, tell me one time: I can do anything I put my mind to. Now a lot of boys aren’t supposed to be soft-spoken. You know what I’m saying? One day y’all are going to have a very deep voice like this. One day, you’ll have a very, very deep voice.
But the ladies, they’re supposed to be silent, polite, gentle. My men, my men supposed to be strong. I want y’all to tell me what the third rule of life is: I can do anything I put my mind to. Scream it!”
You can see why his comments have come under fire.
Winston later attempted to apologize for his comments in a statement to ESPN, but he fell short of actually apologizing for anything meaningful.
“I was making an effort to interact with a young male in the audience who didn’t seem to be paying attention, and I didn’t want to single him out, so I asked all the boys to stand up,” Winston said, via ESPN. “During my talk, I used a poor word choice that may have overshadowed that positive message for some.”
Yeah, that’s not going to cut it.
And now you know why Jameis Winston is a nationwide trend on Twitter once again for all of the wrong reasons.
