The 2017 NCAA Tournament officially gets underway on Tuesday night, with the First Four matchups in Dayton, Ohio.
Kicking off the action is a meeting between Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers (19-15) and New Orleans Privateers (20-11), which is making its first tournament appearance since 2009.
Mount St. Mary’s earned its postseason berth by claiming the Northeast Conference’s regular season and tournament championship. The Mountaineers will also catch your attention on the court thanks to Junior Robinson, who is the shortest player in Division I basketball this season at 5-foot-5.
New Orleans, meanwhile, also received some hardware this season, claiming the Southland Conference’s regular season and tournament titles.
The winner of tonight’s game will advance to the First Round of March Madness where they will face the No. 1 overall seed and defending national champion Villanova Wildcats.
New Orleans is the Vegas favorite by 1.5-points.
