Louisville Basketball: Donovan Mitchell Declares For NBA Draft, Won't Hire Agent

Louisville basketball star Donovan Mitchell will be declaring for the 2017 NBA Draft.
The Cardinals’ leading-scorer will not be hiring an agent, however, so he will be eligible to return to school for his junior season following workouts with teams and the NBA Scouting Combine if he is not satisfied with the feedback and draft projections he receives.
Mitchell, a junior, announced his decision with a post on social media.
“I have decided to test the waters and not hire an agent! I am excited to workout this summer for teams and hopefully participate in the NBA Combine! I want it to be clear I have not decided to leave Louisville,” Mitchell wrote in an Instagram post.

Last season, Mitchell recorded 15.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game. The 6-foot-3 guard also earned All-ACC First Team and ACC All-Defensive Team honors.
