VIDEO: Joe Biden Spent Saturday Night At NBA D-League Game

Just because Joe Biden isn’t the vice president anymore doesn’t mean he is resting on his laurels and riding off into the sunset.
Last night, Biden made an appearance at the Delaware 87ers game to help promote his sons charitable foundation: The Beau Biden Foundation.
The Beau Biden Foundation’s aim is to protect missing and exploited children.
Beau Biden, who passed away in 2015 following a battle with brain cancer has managed to keep his foundation alive thanks to the continued support and efforts of the his family members. Joe Biden was on hand to deliver the game ball and shake hands with the officials prior to the tip-off.
By the second quarter, a small crowd had gathered around him about 15 feet away.

Biden left after shaking as many hands as there were to shake, and collecting $20,000 in charitable donations from the 76ers organization.
A portion of the ticket sales from the 87ers game were also donated to the foundation.

“There’s a tendency to say, ‘No, that’s not my business, that’s a family issue.’ A child abused is not a family issue. A child abused, these are all our children. They are the kitestrings that lift our national ambitions aloft,” said Biden.
