Justin Bieber hasn’t been in the news for a while, which is a good thing considering his propensity to be in the cycle for the wrong reasons.
This weekend, he found his way into some headline making for perhaps his most innocuous reason to date; playing hockey with the West Point Hockey team. Bieber apparently had a standing offer with the West Point team to swing by and scrimmage with them, he took them up on that offer on Saturday and apparently played pretty well.
The team sent a shout out to for Bieber on their twitter: “Bieber knows the rules …respect the logo.”

One player on the West Point team, Nick DeCenzo, was even willing to lend Bieber his No. 6 jersey for the duration of the scrimmage. Following Bieber’s visit, DeCenzo tweeted out: “Skated with Justin Bieber today…he wore my No. 6 jersey, assisted my goal, I assisted him, and he fed me water…”
Bieber regularly impresses with his athletic ability. His skill in the sport of hockey has long been known, and he is often a feature at the Celebrity Game during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.
