Kentucky Basketball: De'Aaron Fox, Bam Adebayo Break Down In Tears After Elite 8 Loss

It’s not easy getting bounced from the NCAA Tournament and having your season abruptly end, just ask the Kentucky basketball team.
Over the weekend, the Wildcats were bounced from the Big Dance in the Elite Eight after an instant classic with the North Carolina Tar Heels. Kentucky appeared to get the upper hand with a clutch three-pointer in the final seconds, before UNC hit a buzzer-beater to punch its ticket to the Final Four.
Following the game, Kentucky star freshmen De’Aaron Fox and Bam Adebayo were inconsolable as they broke down in tears discussing the game and season.
It’s understandable, considering this may have been the duo’s final collegiate game if they opt for the 2017 NBA Draft.

“It was a hell of a season,” Fox said. “We went through that stretch where we lost all those games, and everybody tried to talk about how we looked like we ain’t caring. This isn’t a locker room that looks like guys don’t care. God, I love my brothers man.”
It was a heart-breaking and emotional end to the season, but it goes to show just how much pressure the players put on themselves throughout March Madness.

The Final Four of the 2017 NCAA Tournament takes place on Saturday, before the national championship on Monday.
