NFL Draft Rumors 2017: Deshone Kizer's Stock Plummeting

According to the latest buzz in the NFL Draft rumor mill, Notre Dame star quarterback Deshone Kizer could be headed for a draft day slide.
In a report from Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated’s MMQB, he revealed a quote from one AFC head coach that detailed why Kizer could fall. The coach pointed to “diva qualities” and “voices in his head” that have him questioning who he really is.
These comments come after Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly publicly stated Kizer should have returned to school to mature on and off the field.

“He’s got the size, the arm talent and he’s very bright,” said one AFC head coach. “But there’s a disconnect there. There are diva qualities there, and he seems to get voices in his head, like he’s fighting who he is. And once the cycle starts, he can’t get himself right.”

There have been talks about a potential rift between Kelly and Kizer that could be responsible for both talking points, but NFL teams will need to determine the potential risk with Kizer’s personality before bringing him on board as the quarterback of the future.
Whether that leads to a complete fall out of the first round remains to be seen, but we will get our answer at the end of the month when the draft takes place in Philadelphia.
