UFC on FOX 24 Draws Worst Overnight Ratings In UFC on FOX History

The UFC on FOX 24 overnight numbers are back and it’s a major disappointment.

UFC president Dana White had called the event the best fight card of the year to date, featuring Demetrious Johnson’s tenth defense of his flyweight title, strawweight stars Michelle Waterson and Rose Namajunas, and a star-studded middleweight affair with Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Robert Whittaker.

However, the ratings failed to deliver.

According to, the event drew 1.74 million viewers which was the lowest number for any UFC on FOX primetime event in the company’s history.

Previously, Johnson had headlined three other UFC on FOX events. All of those events did significantly better with his title defense against John Dodson drawing 3.77 million viewers, a fight with John Morago drawing 2.04 million and his defense against Joseph Benavidez attracting 2.41 million.

To be fair, the event was competing with the NHL Playoffs and the opening day of the NBA postseason.
