The 2017 Kentucky Derby takes place on Saturday afternoon at Churchill Downs.
With the first leg of the Triple Crown just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at the early betting odds to determine which horses you should keep an eye on as the week continues.
According to the odds released on Monday, Always Dreaming is the slight favorite at 5-to-1. Always Dreaming, a three-year-old colt, has won both races it appeared in this year.
Right behind Always Dreaming are Gunnevera and Classic Empire at 6-to-1.
The 2017 Kentucky Derby is expected to begin just before 7 p.m. ET, with post times scheduled for 6:46 p.m. ET on Saturday evening.
