South Carolina Football Players Accused Of Assaulting Ex-Marine In Bar

The South Carolina football program was handed a mess following an alleged assault that implicated two of their current football players.
The assault’s victim was a 24-year-old man whose family says he served as a Marine in Afghanistan.
Gamecocksfootball players Deebo Samuel and Skai Moore were the two current players implicated in the attack. Jalen Dread was also named as an involved party, though he left the team at the end of last season.
The two current players are major contributors for the Gamecocks and the ramifications, if the accusations prove true, will extend beyond their own punishment.
The State is reporting that the attack took place at the Five Points bar on Saturday around three in the morning.
Bar staff had to forcefully remove the players from the bar to put an end to the fight. In the police report, responding officers wrote “The subjects were identified by the fact that they were each USC football players,”
Currently, there have been no arrests made are official charges filed. Police are continuing their investigation and it is not yet known if the players have spoken to investigators.
