Mixed martial arts fans have been wondering when Michael Bisping will defend his middleweight championship against former welterweight king Georges St-Pierre, who is set to return to the Octagon after nearly four years away from the sport.
The bout was initially targeted for International Fight Week in July, but now reports indicate the matchup won’t take place until this fall.
But where will the fight be held?
In an Instagram post, St-Pierre gave a shoutout to Madison Square Garden in New York City and hinted his next fight could be taking place at the iconic venue.
Hmm… GSP at MSG?
Nothing is official at this time, but that would certainly be an interesting option for one of the most anticipated returns in the sport’s history. Plus, New York City isn’t too far away from St-Pierre’s hometown of Montreal. It almost makes too much sense.
