The Alabama basketball program has picked up a former Texas Longhorns standout.
This week, it was announced that Texas transfer Tevin Mack is set to join the Crimson Tide. Mack will have to sit out the 2017-18 college basketball season to satisfy NCAA transfer rules before returning to the court in 2018.
Mack, a former four-star recruit, had visited Alabama earlier this week, according to ESPN.com.
He reportedly chose the Crimson Tide over the Georgia Bulldogs.
Last season, Mack averaged 14.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-7 forward’s season came to a premature end on Jan. 12 when he received an indefinite suspension from head coach Shaka Smart.
When Mack returns to the court, he will have two years of eligibility remaining.
