Michigan Basketball: Moritz Wagner To Return For Junior Season

The Michigan basketball program will be returning one of its key players from their 2016-17 season.
After a deep playoff run, Mortiz Wagner will bring both experience, and another year of outstanding play to the Wolverines.
On Wednesday, the Berlin, Germany native announced that he would be passing on entering the NBA draft for another season.

Moritz was an integral piece of a Wolverines team that made a deep, if surprising tournament run last season. Standing at 6 feet 10 inches tall, he has the kind of body that will enable him to eventually compete in the NBA. However, given the volume of underclassmen who have declared for the draft this year, returning to school was likely the prudent decision.
He will see an increased role, as fellow Wolverine teammate D.J. Wilson announced that he had decided to enter the NBA draft and would be signing an agent. Wilson has decided to forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the draft.
