Tiger Woods was popped for driving under the influence in the wee hours of the morning on Memorial Day.
The golfer’s mugshot certainly had the appearance of a man who had a long night, but Tiger claims he wasn’t drunk. Instead, it was just a bad reaction to his medication.
“I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions,” Woods said in a statement after his arrest. “I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly.”
Of course, that didn’t stop the New York tabloids from going in on him.
The New York Post and New York Daily News both plastered photos of Woods’ mugshot on their covers, with the caption, “DUI of the Tiger.”

A for effort, but remember kids, drink responsibly. And don’t drink and drive.
