What did you do this weekend? Chances are it wasn’t as fun and relaxing as what Dale Earnhardt Jr. did. After posting pictures of himself and
wife Amy on vacation, Jr. appears to be prepping himself for retirement.
A quick getaway to Roatán, Honduras was all the rest and relaxation Earnhardt Jr. could ask for ahead of another race on Sunday. The AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway is set to begin later this week, but the newlyweds couldn’t bring themselves to pass up the opportunity for such a lovely getaway.
Junior talked about it on his podcast, Dale Jr. Download, and mentions that they joined some family members of Amy’s that have been asking the couple to join them for years.
They finally caved.
If that wasn’t enough, check out the sunset that the Earnhardt’s were treated to:
Almost makes you want to go out and become a rich and famous world class auto-racer, doesn’t it?
Earnhardt Jr. announced his retirement earlier this year. The 2017 season will be his last. Look for a lot more beautiful vacations pictures when that time comes.
