Louisville Football: Elvis Dumervil’s Nephew Commits To Cardinals

A familiar name will be taking the field for the Louisville football program when the Class of 2018 arrives on campus.

On Sunday, Dejmi Dumervil Jean, the nephew of former Louisville standout Elvis Dumervil, took to Twitter to announce he has committed to the Cardinals.

“This has been a tough and exciting experience, but after talking to my coaches and family about my decision we find this decision best for my student-athlete career,” Dumervil wrote. “So without further ado, I have decided to commit to the University of Louisville.”

Dumervil Jean also had offers from Power Five programs like Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Oregon, and Virginia Tech. He is entering his senior season at powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The 6-foot-4, 367-pounder is a three-star return and a top 50-ranked player at his position.
