Nashville fans were understandable upset, but the mistake came early enough in the game where the Predators should have been able to recover.
Unfortunately they weren’t, and a dream season came to an end.
For the Penguins, meanwhile, this year’s Stanley Cup Final once again showed they have one of the greatest players to ever step onto the ice in the NHL in the form of Sidney Crosby. Crosby earned his second consecutive Conn Smythe Trophy for his performance.
Now, it’s time to look ahead to the offseason as teams around the league look to retool and build a team that will try to stop the Penguins from completing a three-peat next season.
