Matt Hughes 'Awake & Responsive' After Serious Car Accident

There is a positive update regarding the condition of UFC legend Matt Hughes, who was airlifted to the hospital this weekend after a truck he was driving was struck in the passenger side by a train.
Hughes was seriously injured in the accident, but his longtime manager Monte Cox provided a promising update to Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com.
According to Cox, Hughes is “awake and responsive” and doctors are reportedly “optimistic.”
The UFC Hall of Famer was injured on Friday morning in his home state of Illinois.
Our thoughts continue to go out to Hughes and his family as he fights to make a hopefully full and speedy recovery.
