Around 4 a.m. on Monday morning, a 23-year-old man drove his car onto the court at Mizzou Arena.
He entered the facility by ramming his car through a closed gate, causing over $100,000 dollars of damage in the process. Police are not yet certain how he get his car onto the actual court.
According to ABC 17, the man’s name is Nathaniel Conant, who is already out after having posted bond.
An investigation revealed a person drove a vehicle through a closed gate on the south side of the arena and through a closed garage door that led into the dock area.
Police say the driver then went into the arena and struck a couple of golf carts before leaving through the same dock door.
He is believed to have been driving a Volkswagen Passat and to have worked as an events assistant through the SEC Network at Mizzou Arena.
For a basketball program like Mizzou, $100,000 is a significant amount of money. The school is likely to take a huge loss as a result of this early morning incident. After finish 8-24 last season, haven’t they lost enough?
