Manny Pacquiao: Conor McGregor Has No Chance Against Mayweather

If you ask Manny Pacquio, the fight between Connor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather probably isn’t going to live up to the hype.

In fact, he says there is a chance that it will be “very boring.”

His prediction is a popular one. Citing his lack of professional boxing experience, Pacquiao says there is “no way he will be able to land a meaningful punch” against Mayweather.

Nobody is giving McGregor a chance to do any damage when the two meet on Aug. 26. But if he is going to beat Mayweather, it will have to be a knockout in one of the earlier rounds of the fight. He’ll have to catch Mayweather napping in a major way.

Speaking of boring fights, he also indicated that he wants a rematch against Floyd Mayweather. The first fight, which was speculated for several years before the two finally met in the ring in 2015 was a snoozer. Floyd Mayweather built an early lead, then peppered Pacquiao with for the rest of the fight. It left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of PPV subscribers.

Nobody wants a rematch of that.

McGregor’s odds might be long, but he’s playing with house money anyway. If he wins, huge upset. If he loses, well, what did you expect?
