Serena Williams has earned nearly every imaginable accolade on the tennis court. Now she stands to take on her biggest, if far less public challenge.
Perhaps the greatest female tennis player of all times is gearing up for motherhood. In April, she announced that she was expecting her first child with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
Now, she has appeared nude on a tasteful cover for Vanity Fair magazine.

Her appearance on the cover is part of a wide-ranging profile featured in this months issue of the magazine. In it, she discusses her fears and apprehensions about motherhood, as well as everything that built up to that point in her life. She also gives a little insight into what her proposal with Ohanian was like:
“I knew it was coming…I was like, ‘Serena, you’re ready. This is what you want.'”
She appears to be nervous, but excited about the next stage of her life as a mother.
