For Cal football fans, the anticipation is over (mostly).
After launching a partnership with Under Armour last month, fans waited with bated breath for the release of their new uniforms. They’ll have to wait a little bit longer to get a look at the away and alternate versions of the kit, but the home uniforms are a big step forward.
As part of a rebranding overhaul for the football team, the new uniforms are sleek and intimidating. The gold color will be used mostly as an accent color on the dark blue jerseys.
While the pants will be feature the opposite color pattern, with blue script “Cal” and the Under Armour logo on each hip.
Take a look at how the uniforms have changed over the years for the Cal football team.

The newest one set the tone for the other uniforms moving forward. They are a clear upgrade over what the players have been wearing for the past 15-years. Top it off with a matte helmet, and Cal places itself firmly near the top of the PAC 12 in terms of looking stylish while on the playing field.

Oregon is still pacing the entire FBS, but perhaps too much. Many feel that the focus on uniforms is a leading cause of the Ducks downfall as a football program. Cal appears to have struck the perfect balance here, and fans will be anxiously anticipating the release of the other versions soon.
