Sometimes sports fans think with their hearts, instead of their brains. Understandably, Utah Jazz fans are upset by the news that their star player Gordon Hayward has decided to leave Utah and take his talents to Boston.
Expect the newest Celtic to receive a symphony of “boo’s” next time he visits Salt Lake City.
Jazz fans are none too happy about losing Hayward, going so far as to burn his jersey after news broke that he was leaving in free agency.

Irrational as it may be, this is becoming a trend when a star player chooses not to resign with the same team, and instead play elsewhere. It seems a little silly this time, though.
Hayward isn’t LeBron James, the most notable example of fans burning jersey’s in recent memory.

#Betrayward is trending on Twitter as Jazz fans continue to burn their jersey’s.
Give me a break, Utah. You were more than a Gordon Hayward away from being a relevant basketball team.
Now Jazz fans turn their hopes to Rudy Gobert, who remains the teams lone above-average basketball player. It’ll be a long climb to another 51-win season, and the Jazz are running out of options to fill Hayward’s spot effectively.
