The term “wardrobe malfunction” drums up a singular image in everyone’s mind. On Wednesday, Kentucky defensive back Mike Edwards finally felt Janet Jackson’s pain. Well, kind of; Edwards didn’t take place in front of a Super Bowl audience and the controversy that ensued after that wardrobe malfunction won’t be headed his way.
In fact, Edwards appears to be having some fun with his costuming mishap.
In a tweet issued by the Kentucky Football program, it was put up to a vote: replace the ripped pants, or wear shorts for the rest of the event.
BBN, we need help. @M__Edwards7 had a fashion mishap. RT if he should get new pants. Hit "like" if he should roll in shorts. #SECMD2017 pic.twitter.com/mjBuA3OMcF

Not a great place for the rip to take place either. The rest of the suit was dapper and sharp. No word on what caused the rip.
If the tweet is to be believed, Edwards will have gone through the rest of the day wearing the suit top and shoes, but still donning the Jumpman shorts. Viewers were encouraged to retweet if they wanted him to get new pants, or hit the “like” button if they wanted him to wear the shorts.
Likes beat RT’s, 443-40.
